AI & Communications Disclosure
Last updated September 9, 2026
Agents Velo provides artificial intelligence systems that businesses may use to communicate with customers, prospects, employees, vendors, and other individuals through voice calls, messaging, web chat, forms, and related communication channels.
This AI & Communications Disclosure explains how artificial intelligence may be used in those communications, how conversations may be processed, the responsibilities of businesses using Agents Velo, and important limitations that apply to AI-powered communications.
For purposes of this Disclosure, "Agents Velo," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of Agents Velo. A "Customer" is a business or organization using Agents Velo to configure, test, deploy, or operate an AI agent. An "End User" is an individual who communicates with an AI agent operated through Agents Velo.
This Disclosure should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and other applicable policies.
1. AI-Powered Communications
Agents Velo enables Customers to create and operate artificial intelligence agents capable of conducting conversations and performing authorized business workflows.
Depending on the Customer's configuration, an AI agent may:
- answer inbound phone calls;
- place outbound phone calls;
- send or receive messages;
- participate in web chat;
- answer questions;
- collect information;
- schedule or modify appointments;
- qualify or route inquiries;
- transfer conversations to a human;
- retrieve authorized business information;
- update authorized business systems;
- perform defined workflow actions;
- summarize conversations; and
- generate analytics or other information about an interaction.
These interactions may occur without a human employee actively participating in every part of the conversation.
AI agents are automated systems. They are not human representatives, even when their voices or conversational styles sound natural.
2. Disclosure of AI Use
Agents Velo AI agents may not falsely claim to be human or impersonate a specific real person.
Every Agents Velo voice agent must clearly disclose at the beginning of the conversation that the individual is interacting with an AI or automated agent. This requirement applies to both inbound and outbound voice conversations.
Customers may not remove, delay, obscure, alter, or circumvent this disclosure.
Customers may not configure an agent to intentionally mislead an End User into believing that the AI agent is a real human being.
The form and timing of a required disclosure may vary depending on the communication and applicable requirements.
Agents Velo may modify or require changes to an agent's disclosures when reasonably necessary for legal, compliance, safety, or transparency purposes.
3. Business Identity and Purpose of Communications
An AI agent operates on behalf of the Customer for whom the agent was configured.
Agents must not intentionally conceal or misrepresent the identity of the business or organization they represent where disclosure of that identity is required or reasonably necessary to avoid misleading the person receiving the communication.
For outbound communications, Customers are responsible for accurately identifying:
- the business or organization on whose behalf the communication is made;
- the purpose of the communication;
- the intended audience;
- the source of contact information;
- the nature of any existing relationship with the recipient; and
- any consent, authorization, or other legal basis relied upon for the communication.
Customers may not configure Agents Velo systems to use false identities, deceptive caller information, misleading business names, or other methods intended to conceal the true source or purpose of a communication.
4. Recording, Transcription, and Analysis
Voice calls and other conversations conducted through Agents Velo may be recorded, transcribed, analyzed, summarized, or otherwise processed depending on the Customer's configuration and the services being used.
Whenever an Agents Velo voice conversation is recorded or transcribed, the agent must clearly disclose at the beginning of the conversation that the conversation may be recorded and/or transcribed. This requirement applies regardless of whether the conversation is inbound or outbound.
Customers may not remove, delay, obscure, alter, or circumvent this disclosure.
This processing may include:
- call audio;
- speech-to-text transcripts;
- messages;
- information provided during a conversation;
- conversation summaries;
- sentiment or interaction analysis;
- call outcomes;
- custom metrics;
- information collected for the Customer;
- workflow actions;
- transfer information; and
- technical information associated with the interaction.
Customers remain responsible for satisfying any additional consent, notice, recording, transcription, monitoring, or similar requirements imposed by applicable law.
Agents Velo may also require specific recording or transcription disclosures as a condition of using certain features or operating in certain jurisdictions.
Customers may not remove or circumvent a disclosure or consent mechanism required by Agents Velo.
Additional information about how information is processed is provided in our Privacy Policy.
5. Outbound Calls and Messages
Customers using Agents Velo for outbound communications must have the legal right to make or cause those communications to be made.
Depending on the circumstances, outbound communications may be subject to requirements concerning:
- consent;
- prior relationships with recipients;
- telemarketing or solicitation;
- artificial or generated voices;
- automated dialing;
- Do Not Call requirements;
- calling times;
- caller identification;
- required disclosures;
- recordkeeping;
- frequency of communications;
- opt-out rights;
- recording or transcription; and
- text messaging.
Customers are responsible for determining whether each outbound campaign or communication is legally permitted.
A Customer may not rely solely on the availability of an Agents Velo feature as evidence that the Customer is legally permitted to use that feature in a particular situation.
Agents Velo may require information about a proposed campaign before allowing outbound communications, including information regarding recipients, purpose, consent, jurisdiction, and communication type.
We may refuse, restrict, pause, or terminate an outbound campaign if we believe it creates an unacceptable legal, compliance, security, operational, or abuse risk.
6. Consent and Contact Information
Customers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any consent, permission, authorization, or other lawful basis required to communicate with a recipient.
Customers must provide accurate information regarding:
- how contact information was obtained;
- whether the recipient agreed to be contacted;
- the scope of any consent;
- the communication channels covered by that consent;
- the purpose for which consent was obtained; and
- whether consent has subsequently been withdrawn.
Customers may not provide purchased, scraped, unlawfully obtained, misleadingly obtained, or otherwise unauthorized contact information for use with Agents Velo where the resulting communication would violate applicable requirements.
Agents Velo may request evidence or representations concerning consent or authorization before allowing certain communications.
7. Opt-Outs, Do Not Call Requests, and Communication Preferences
Recipients must be able to exercise applicable rights to stop or limit communications.
Customers are responsible for honoring applicable:
- Do Not Call requests;
- unsubscribe requests;
- requests to stop calling;
- requests to stop messaging;
- revocation of consent; and
- other legally recognized communication preferences.
Customers may not intentionally configure an agent to ignore, frustrate, discourage, or evade a valid request to stop receiving communications.
Where supported, Agents Velo may provide technical mechanisms for recording or enforcing communication preferences. The existence of such tools does not eliminate the Customer's responsibility to maintain appropriate suppression records and comply with applicable law.
If an End User tells an AI agent that they no longer wish to receive applicable communications, the agent may record, communicate, or act on that request according to the configured workflow.
8. Inbound Communications
AI and communications requirements are not limited to outbound calling.
When an individual contacts a business using an Agents Velo-powered agent, the interaction may still involve:
- AI-generated communication;
- recording;
- transcription;
- automated information collection;
- analysis;
- routing;
- integration with business systems; and
- automated workflow actions.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that their inbound workflows provide any notices, disclosures, or consent mechanisms required for the interaction.
An inbound call or message does not automatically eliminate privacy, recording, professional-service, or other legal obligations.
9. Human Transfers and Escalation
Agents Velo agents may be configured to transfer, route, or escalate conversations to human representatives.
Human transfer functionality may depend on:
- Customer staffing;
- operating hours;
- configured transfer numbers;
- telecommunications availability;
- the nature of the interaction; and
- the Customer's chosen workflow.
Agents Velo does not guarantee that a human representative will always be available.
Customers are responsible for determining which situations require human review or intervention and for maintaining appropriate escalation procedures for their business.
AI agents should not be treated as a substitute for human judgment where the circumstances require professional discretion, authorization, or individualized decision-making.
10. Emergency Communications
Agents Velo is not an emergency communications service.
Agents Velo agents must not be configured or relied upon as a substitute for emergency services, emergency dispatch, emergency medical assistance, law enforcement, fire services, crisis response, or other systems where an inability to communicate or an incorrect response could create an immediate risk to health or safety.
Customers must maintain appropriate procedures for situations requiring emergency assistance.
Agents Velo does not guarantee continuous availability, successful routing, immediate response times, or error-free communications and should never be used as the sole method for obtaining emergency assistance.
11. Professional and Legally Significant Information
Agents Velo may not be used in any situation where applicable law requires advice, information, instructions, determinations, or decisions to be provided or made by a licensed, certified, authorized, or otherwise qualified professional.
This restriction may apply to matters involving:
- medical or clinical advice;
- diagnosis or treatment decisions;
- legal advice or legal determinations;
- financial or investment advice;
- tax advice;
- insurance coverage or claims determinations;
- credit or lending decisions;
- employment decisions; and
- other professional or regulated activities.
An AI agent may perform appropriate administrative functions such as:
- intake;
- scheduling;
- routing;
- collecting information;
- providing approved general business information;
- confirming administrative details; and
- transferring a person to an appropriate professional.
However, Customers are responsible for determining the boundary between permissible administrative assistance and information or decisions that must legally be provided by a qualified person.
Customers may not represent AI-generated information as legally binding professional advice when a qualified professional is required.
Agents Velo does not assume responsibility for professional advice, regulated decisions, legally binding information, or similar services provided, communicated, or relied upon as a result of a Customer's unauthorized or inappropriate use of the Service.
12. Accuracy and Limitations of AI Communications
Artificial intelligence is probabilistic and may make mistakes.
An AI agent may:
- misunderstand a speaker;
- transcribe information incorrectly;
- provide an incomplete response;
- misunderstand context;
- retrieve incorrect information;
- incorrectly interpret instructions;
- fail to complete an intended action;
- generate an unexpected response;
- fail to recognize an unusual situation; or
- experience delays or technical failures.
Customers are responsible for testing agents before production use and monitoring their continued performance.
Customers should configure appropriate limitations, approved information sources, escalation paths, and human review for their use cases.
No Agents Velo communication or output should be treated as guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or appropriate for every circumstance.
13. Actions Performed by AI Agents
Some Agents Velo agents may be authorized to take actions during or after a conversation.
Depending on configuration, these actions may include:
- booking or changing appointments;
- sending information;
- updating a CRM or other business system;
- creating records;
- routing information;
- initiating transfers;
- submitting forms;
- triggering integrations; or
- performing other defined business workflows.
Customers are responsible for determining which actions an agent is authorized to perform and for maintaining appropriate controls over consequential actions.
Agents should not be granted authority to make professional, legally significant, financial, safety-critical, or otherwise prohibited decisions merely because an integration technically permits the action.
14. Customer-Provided Information and Agent Instructions
Agents Velo agents operate substantially based on information, workflows, instructions, knowledge sources, integrations, and limitations supplied or approved by Customers.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that this information is:
- accurate;
- current;
- lawful;
- appropriate for the intended audience;
- authorized for use; and
- consistent with applicable professional and regulatory obligations.
Agents Velo is not responsible for the underlying accuracy of business information supplied by a Customer.
If a Customer provides inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, outdated, or unauthorized information, an AI agent may rely on that information when communicating.
Customers should promptly update information that is no longer accurate.
15. Testing Before Production
Agents Velo provides testing and revision functionality so Customers can evaluate agents before production deployment.
Customers are responsible for reasonably testing:
- agent behavior;
- conversation flows;
- required disclosures;
- business information;
- transfers and escalation;
- integrations;
- data collection;
- workflow actions; and
- other material functionality relevant to their use case.
Testing access may only be used for legitimate evaluation of the Agents Velo system.
Customers may not use testing environments as a substitute for paid production service, to communicate with real customers or prospects as an ongoing business operation, or to evade applicable production restrictions.
Approval of an agent indicates that the Customer has reviewed the applicable configuration and authorizes its deployment subject to the Customer's continuing responsibilities under Agents Velo policies and applicable law.
16. Supported Jurisdictions
Communications laws differ significantly between jurisdictions.
Agents Velo may therefore limit:
- countries;
- states or provinces;
- telephone number destinations;
- communication types;
- outbound use cases;
- industries;
- campaign types; or
- other features
based on legal, regulatory, provider, operational, or risk considerations.
Customers may use Agents Velo communications functionality only in jurisdictions and for use cases supported by Agents Velo.
A Customer may not circumvent geographic, technical, or compliance restrictions to communicate with recipients in an unsupported jurisdiction.
The fact that a telephone number, messaging destination, or technical route is reachable through underlying infrastructure does not mean that Agents Velo authorizes its use.
Supported jurisdictions and restrictions may change as laws, provider requirements, and Agents Velo services evolve.
17. Applicable Communications Rules
This Disclosure establishes general requirements for Agents Velo communications but does not contain every rule that may apply to a particular communication.
Customers may also be subject to:
- federal law;
- state, provincial, or local law;
- telecommunications regulations;
- privacy and data protection requirements;
- industry-specific regulations;
- carrier requirements; and
- Agents Velo's jurisdiction-specific communications standards.
Where Agents Velo imposes a requirement that is more restrictive than the minimum requirement a Customer believes applies, the Customer must follow the Agents Velo requirement when using the Service unless Agents Velo expressly approves otherwise.
Agents Velo may update communication requirements as laws, regulations, provider requirements, or our risk controls change.
18. End Users Interacting With an AI Agent
If you are communicating with an AI agent powered by Agents Velo, the agent is generally operating on behalf of the business or organization identified during the interaction.
Depending on the interaction:
- you may be communicating with artificial intelligence rather than a human;
- the conversation may be recorded or transcribed;
- information you provide may be shared with the business operating the agent;
- the AI may analyze or summarize the interaction;
- information may be transmitted to authorized business systems;
- the agent may perform authorized actions based on the conversation; and
- the interaction may later be reviewed by authorized representatives of the business.
The business operating the agent generally determines the purpose of the interaction, the information the agent is configured to collect, and how that business uses the resulting information.
For questions concerning a specific business's use of your information or communications with you, you should generally contact that business directly.
For questions about Agents Velo's own privacy practices, see our Privacy Policy.
19. Enforcement
Agents Velo may review, restrict, suspend, or terminate an agent, campaign, account, or communication capability where we reasonably believe:
- required disclosures are missing or being circumvented;
- recipients are being contacted unlawfully;
- consent or authorization information is inaccurate;
- opt-out requests are not being honored;
- an agent is impersonating a human;
- an agent is being used for prohibited professional or emergency functions;
- the Customer is operating in an unsupported jurisdiction;
- the communication is deceptive, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited;
- testing resources are being abused; or
- continued operation creates unacceptable legal, regulatory, security, operational, or reputational risk.
Agents Velo may require changes to an agent or workflow before allowing communications to continue.
20. Changes to This Disclosure
We may update this AI & Communications Disclosure as our services, supported jurisdictions, technologies, provider requirements, or legal obligations change.
When appropriate, we may provide notice by updating the effective date, posting the revised Disclosure, sending an email, providing an account notice, or using another reasonable method.
